Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026 · Applies to INHABIT for iPhone, version 1.
INHABIT is built local-first. Everything you log stays on your device. There is no account to create, no server that holds your data, and no analytics or advertising in the app.
What INHABIT stores
INHABIT keeps the following on your device so the app can work:
- Your first name, as you entered it during setup, and your answers to the setup questions (where you are in life, what you’re becoming, which dimensions you’re focusing on).
- The practices you choose, and a log of when you complete them, including any counts or durations you record.
- Your plans for upcoming days, including wake and sleep times and any life commitments you add (for example, work hours).
- Reflections you write inside the app.
- Photos you choose to attach to a practice, if you use that feature.
- Settings, such as your language and reminder preferences.
All of this is stored in the app’s own storage on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere by INHABIT.
What INHABIT does not do
- No account or sign-in. We never ask for an email address, phone number, or password.
- No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No artificial intelligence services. Everything the app shows you is computed on your device from your own logs.
- No selling, sharing, or transferring of your data to anyone.
Permissions the app may ask for
Camera
If you choose to attach a photo to a practice, iOS will ask for camera access. The photo is stored on your device with your other INHABIT data and is never uploaded. You can decline and the rest of the app works normally.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, iOS will ask for notification permission. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing about them leaves your phone.
Backups
Because INHABIT’s data lives on your device, it is included in whatever device backup you have configured (for example, iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup). Those backups are governed by Apple’s terms and your own settings, not by INHABIT.
Exporting and deleting your data
- Export. Settings offers an export that saves your INHABIT data as a file on your device. It goes wherever you choose to put it and nowhere else.
- Delete. Settings also offers a full reset that erases everything INHABIT has stored on the device. Deleting the app has the same effect.
Since we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing on our side to delete.
Children
INHABIT is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone. Because no data leaves the device, no data about children is received by us.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of INHABIT changes how it handles data, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change. Optional features that involve any data leaving your device would be clearly described here and would require your explicit choice.
